F.A.Q.

Ordering

Does your store use secure ordering methods?
Yes, we implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information every time you place an order. Your credit card information is NOT stored on our servers. Credit card processing is handled by our payment gateways - either Shopify, Paypal, Google, or Apple Pay. All sensitive information is kept within their secure systems throughout the entire transaction, and we don't even see your credit card information.

When will my order be processed?
We process all orders within 1-3 business days of receiving them. If it is a preorder, we will process your order within 1-3 days of the item arriving in stock.

What if I order in-stock and preorder items together?
Your items will not ship until all of the preorder items arrive here. If you want some of your items to ship right away, please place two separate orders.

How do I cancel an order?
Email us and request an order cancellation. Please note that it is not possible to cancel an order once it has shipped.

How do I add items to an order or combine two orders?
Please place an additional order and put a note in the comments box during checkout requesting that we combine the two orders for you. We will refund any additional shipping fees after combining and shipping your order.

Why is it more expensive to have my figures made loose for cheaper shipping?
There is a small upcharge when ordering Minimates loose, since it takes us extra time and supplies. But the shipping savings are typically higher than the extra costs, depending on your location.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

When do you charge me for preorder items?
For both credit cards and PayPal, payment is required at the time you place the order.

Do you charge sales tax?
We only charge you sales tax if you live in the State of Minnesota. As required by local law, the sales tax for Minnesota residents is 6.875%.

Shipping

What shipping methods do you use?
For customers in the continental US, we use either USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail, both with tracking. For international customers we use USPS First Class International Mail or USPS Priority Mail International, depending on the weight of your package. Please note that First Class packages usually ship in a bubble mailer - if you require a box please choose Priority Mail.

Will you ship internationally?
Yes, we love our international customers! We ship worldwide. We also are the only toy store online to offer loose Minimate options on all of our products to save you money on shipping!

How do you calculate shipping fees?
Shipping fees are based on both the weight of the package and your distance from our Minneapolis warehouse. All of our rates are calculated using the latest rates from USPS.

What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of shipping. You will receive a full refund excluding shipping charges. All items must be unopened in their original packaging. If we made a mistake and shipped you the wrong item, we will pay for the shipping charges. Please email us for all concerns related to returning an item.

Our Store

Tell me about how green Luke's Toy Store is!

We save on paper by not including packing slips unless requested. We frequently re-use boxes, so it is possible that your order might come in a box from another company! We would rather re-use the box ourselves than bring it to a recycling center where tax dollars would be used to recycle it.

When we open Minimate packages to make the figures loose, we recycle all of the original package materials. When we pack orders, we use a variety of environmentally friendly packing materials. The packing paper we use is 100% recycled content, recyclable, and biodegradable. The bubble wrap we use is minimum 15% recycled plastic, minimum 10% post-consumer content, and recyclable.

Our USPS Priority Mail boxes are recyclable, and they are also created in an energy-efficient way. The design of the box considers water and energy use during the manufacturing process. According to the USPS website, the green manufacturing process of a half-billion boxes and cardboard envelopes each year results in the prevention of over 15,000 metric tons of carbon-equivalent emissions that would be produced in traditional manufacturing.

Do you have a retail location?
Not yet, but you never know what the future might hold!
